Rooms

Rooms Studio is a contemporary design duo from Tbilisi with an impressive portfolio and European recognition. Nata Janberidze and Keti Toloraia were both born in 1981, met while studying at the Tbilisi Academy of Arts, and in 2008, after graduating, founded their own studio. They create modern, ironic, and memorable pieces, drawing on imagery from the Soviet past and the primitive forms of Georgian ethnic motifs. Since 2011, they have participated in Milan Design Week and have collaborated with Moooi and CC Tapis. In 2016, they made a strong impression with their collection Wild Minimalism. In addition to object design, they also work on interior projects: the duo's portfolio includes the design of two boutique hotels – Rooms Kazbegi and Rooms Tbilisi – where local colour delicately complements the contemporary setting.
